Bingo Game

On 5th of June we had this interesting game called "Bingo". It was our first time doing this game and it was a novel experience for all of us. We were given a piece of paper consisting of 25 general questions and we had to ask those questions from our friends. Then we had to mark the names of the people who gave positive answers for the question.

Bingo is a game of chance in which each player matches numbers printed in different arrangements on 5×5 cards which the numbers the game host (caller) draws at random, marking the selected numbers with tiles. When a player finds the selected numbers are arranged on their card in a row, they call out "Bingo!" to alert all participants to a winning card, which prompts the game host (or an associate assisting the host) to examine the card for verification of the win. Players compete against one another to be the first to have a winning arrangement for the prize or jackpot. After a winner is declared, the players clear their number cards of the tiles and the game host begins a new round of play.

Alternative methods of play try to increase participation by creating excitement. Since its invention in 1929, modern bingo has evolved into multiple variations, with each jurisdiction's gambling laws regulating how the game is played. There are also nearly unlimited patterns that may be specified for play. Some games require only one number to be matched, while cover-all games award the jackpot for covering an entire card. There are even games that award prizes to players for matching no numbers or achieving no pattern. See "Variations" for more details.

The criteria for choosing the winner was, the person who completes the chart with friends names who gave positive answers, in the same horizontal line, same vertical line, the diagonal or around the rectangles around the center box.

We also had to complete the task within a very short period of time, despite there was very hard questions like someone being the head prefect in the school, traveled overseas, etc...

When the time was over, the lecturer collected all the sheets and selected the best 5 among them, with a accuracy of 100%. Unfortunately I had an answer got wrong due to lack of proper communication when doing the game.

We learned so many things eventhough this was a very small game. We got to know about our batch mates , about their likes and dislikes and moreover each of us got the chance to share our experiences with each other.
